Maybelline The Elixir Say what ?

Okay for some reason I'm one a lip product fetish ! That's all I've been buying it seems latly . 

Okay I have to show you this meme before we move forward . I seen it on goggle and laugh so hard 

Lmao ! ( okay okay I know I'm a dork but I had to share couldn't help it ) 

Okay on to the main event ! Maybelline has these new lip Elixir ! And omg the packaging is super cute! 

Very chic if I do say so my self . Top pic from left to right is Signature scarlet 020, fuchsia 075, and Rasberry Rhapsody 030 ( yes the purple one is named Rasberry rhapsody ! Some one was color blind when they picked that name or just dumb idk  your guess is as good as mine ) 

Okay well let's start with the bad first ! They are sheer like super sheer . The bright color in the tub is not what color pay off you get on your lips ! Very sticky , I don't like the applacater , the smell is weird !

Fuchsia Flourish 075 (three coats ) 

Raspberry Rhapsody 030 (four coats and it still looks like a lite pink ) 

Signature Scarlet 020 (three coats ) 

Good points it's kinda build able kinda only on the scarlet , and last long on the lips, they are great to top over lipsticks but that's it

So besides cute packaging It's pretty much a bust . Will not be repurchasing for sure . 

Was kinda sad had high hopes for these colors but that's why you should never fall for cute

Revlon Lacquer and Matte balms

Hey lady's ! Well nothing like going in to CVS to just pick up one thing and walk out with five more things lol. Today is about these balms I've been hearing so much about and thought I would give them a try . I've  got three colors today two lacquer balms and one matte . 

From left to right Ingenue 145,Flirtatious 125, and Sultry sulfureuse 225 .

Okay the lacquer balms are not all created equal . What I mean by that is some are highly pigmented and some are sheer . Which is kinda a bummer . Lasting power is good not great . The mint smell I love and the tingling feeling is fine I guess doesn't really bother me . The thing I don't like about them is the glitter flakes ! You don't really notice them till you up close and after time the glitter settles in the lines of your lips . Which is not cute . 

Flirtatious 125 (two coats)

Ingenue 145 (three coats ) 

Now on to the matte ! I was so impressed with the matte super smooth and pigmented didn't dry out my lips and was refreshing ( the mint sent and tingle ) . Lasting was about the same as the lacquer and the best part no glitter ! 

Sultry 225(one coat ) 

So for sure I'm going to buy all the matte colors ! No lacquers not my cup of tea !

NYX Butter gloss

It's been awhile ! But I'm back ready to share my thoughts on some lippy products 💋!

NYX Butter gloss are smooth cream looking colors with dessert names that are über cute . 

The three I have to talk about are (from left to right ) Tiramisu BLG07,Peach Cobbler BLG06,

and Peaches and Cream BLG03. 

Tiramisu is my fave because it is a great nudie color for my skin tone . (Tan/olive is my color skin tone . Summer I'm tan winter I'm olive ) they are a little sheer but you can build them up . Good points I love the dome applacater, They smell sweet, they are build able,the cream finish is great , and a little goes along way.

Now the bad points if you want to build up the color you have to wait to put on the second coat . Because if not it will look tacky in some spots , it is a gloss so if you wear your hair down your hair will be attracted to it like like girls to Starbucks ! 

The way to fix the bad points ! (Wait time is like a min or two till you can put on the second coat which does not bother me I just do some thing to pass the time like put on my shoes or what ever then apply the second coat.) So what you can do for both bad points is add a lose powder to your lips ! So what you do is add the first coat and then use a lip brush and pat the lose powder on the lips then add the second coat (please tap off the exs powder before applying to lips ) . Now for the stickiness when your done apply loose powder to the last coat to reduce the stickiness and your ready to go !

These glosses will be great on top of a nude lipstick as well .
